Be Proactive not Reactive
How many times have you allowed your reactions to determine your direction. You were going to do something but then reacted to a negative response and withdrew. You prayed and planned but then reacted when the reception you received was not what you desired. We need to be careful our reactions don’t dominate our actions. Reactions can often be sparked through fear, hurt, offence, impatience, panic, anger. It’s the reactive words, decisions, responses that often feel good in the moment but later bring many consequences. We need to be people who are proactive. Who decide before the situation occurs or the meeting happens to settle our emotions, lean into the spirit and discern our direction. We need to learn to bridle our tongue so our words are constructive not destructive. Where today do you need to examine your life and ask, where are my reactions giving poor directions. Reactions are often intense but being proactive moves you to being intentional. Reactions are charged emotionally but being proactive makes you more channelled spiritually. Today can you take back some of the reigns from your reactions and chart a better course of action moving your future from harvesting reactive fruit to proactive harvest.
