Move ON or move UP?

Move ON or move UP?

Move on or Move up? This is a question I felt God ask me over this past few weeks. I have been so aware recently of the challenge to move UP through the life of my own children. As many parents can relate, we are getting our kids ready to move up in school. I have an 11 year old who is now moving up to high school. That means she will catch a bus to school on her own, new uniform, teachers, new challenges and harder tests. As I get her ready I tell her she’s going to do great. She will love it, she can do it. I affirm and assure her. Why? Because I know as a parent that its time to move not just ON but UP. Moving on is good, that is when we keep going, we walk the path before us we move on and get better in our relationships, attitudes, gifts etc. But there is a time when we too need the challenge of our heavenly parent to say enough moving on; Time to MOVE UP. Moving up is embracing something new, taking areas where we have settled and challenging them to move up. I want to move up in my giving, commitment, serving, wisdom. I want to be willing to take things to a higher level. That means we like my kids who are about to embrace new school tomorrow have to get ready, buy the uniform, sign the form, get the buss pass. So I want to ask you my friend. Where can you set yourself the Move UP challenge. Go for it, you may be more ready than you realize!
