When I think of HOME I start with the front door, the initial welcome that anyone who comes to visit will find. Our world needs to know they are welcome and in a time when many are being told there is no place they can call HOME, surely the church must rise as never before and open wide it’s hearts and doors. Let’s build a life that says ‘we were expecting you’. Let’s have an entrance way that is fragrant with kindness, well lit with love and open consistently to let people in. I am thankful our natural home has been a place where we have invited so many in, a place I pray when people come they instantly feel they can relax and feel the embrace of our family. Our lives and our churches need great big welcome mats so passers by will fee drawn into a place they can belong. Maybe it’s time to work on your front entrance porch, maybe you need to open up some locked doors, maybe it’s time to freshen the fragrance at the entrance let’s all continue to work on building our Homes and Gods Home well so that the word gets out there is a place for you so come.
